Job Description
Go Hire Virtual’s client, an established U.S.-based accounting firm, is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team as they continue to expand their business.
The firm is known for fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment that encourages professional development and growth. Team members are given the opportunity to work on a variety of accounting tasks across multiple clients, providing valuable experience and long-term career development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and timely bookkeeping services for multiple clients.
- Perform data entry and account reconciliations.
- Process payroll, payroll forms, and related filings.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements.
- Manage business license renewals and sales tax filings.
- Communicate with tax authorities regarding notices and inquiries.
- Identify potential accounting or tax issues and recommend solutions. Maintain strong and professional communication with clients.
- Collaborate with internal team members to meet deadlines and deliver quality work.
- Follow established accounting policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- Experience using QuickBooks Online.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles and practices (GAAP).
- Excellent numerical accuracy and data entry skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Work Expectations:
- Must be able to work from 11 PM - 08 AM, Philippine Time.
- Must be actively seeking full-time employment ONLY.
- Must be available to render overtime during peak seasons when required
- Must maintain a professional appearance during work hours, even in a remote work environment, as client-facing interactions may be required.
Technical requirements:
- i5 or higher computer processor
- Noise-canceling headset (non-Bluetooth)
- Minimum 50 Mbps wired internet connection
- Dedicated home office setup
